Sonny’s Porch is a respite for traveling bands looking to get off the road to ride some waves, eat some food, shoot some pool, or just crash for a few hours. If they feel like playing some music on our back porch… we’re stoked.
It’s (Almost) Always Sonny in Austin
Earlier this month, we packed up our cowboy boots and a ten-gallon hat (OK, so we borrowed them from a friend), and headed out to Austin, TX for its annual SXSW festival. The Mattson 2
The Mattson 2 is a mixture of sonic ingredients including (but not limited to) traditional jazz, surf, psychedelic, and indie. And over the years, their songs have effortlessly made their way onto our mix tapes, transitioned to burned CD’s we made for our friends, and now take their rightful place onto pretty much every “good vibes” playlist we have saved on Spotify. We’re unabashedly ride or die fans.Ron Artis II & The Truth
We honestly didn’t know too much about these guys when we first heard they were comin’ into town. When they showed up to our Cocoa Beach office, they just seemed like three humble dudes from Hawaii who smiled a lot and were apparently really talented musicians.Fat Tony
We’ve had quite a few musicians play on Sonny’s Porch in our time but having Fat Tony on deck was unlike anything we’d ever seen before.Ray Barbee
Beyond his talent as a musician, Ray Barbee is also one of the pioneers of skateboarding and helped lay the groundwork for what street skating is today.Sugar Candy Mountain
Sugar Candy Mountain made a pitstop before jumping onto the European leg of their winter tour. Loved having them stop by the porch, share some songs & sip some brews with us.Mike Love
We were pumped to have legend Reggae musician Mike Love and his crew drop by for a little breather from their whirlwind tour. Mike is revolutionizing a new genre of music that is entirely his own...Passafire

The Electric Sons
The Electric Sons made the trek all the way from Atlanta just to chill on Sonny’s Porch with us. Despite the dark skies that kept getting darker, the band unloaded and setup for a quick set...Maps & Atlases
Chicago-based Maps and Atlases and all of their goodness dropped by on a Sunday to blow our minds with their unique style and insane virtuosic musical ability...Donavon Frankenreiter
Donavon stopped by our Cocoa Beach office for a little R&R and a high noon jam session on Sonny’s Porch. The Hawaii-based singer/songwriter and his band were traveling between gigs along the Florida coast...Jacuzzi Boys
