Being Dead Live at Sonny’s Porch
They pulled up in a van, left like rockstars.
Sonny’s Porch has always been about community, ever since our first band squeezed onto the tiny stage at our Cocoa Beach home/office back in 2015. Since then, it’s been our way of welcoming friends, family, and under-the-radar musicians into our world. This time, it was Being Dead’s turn.
The Austin trio—bassist Nicole, drummer Schmoofy, and guitarist/vocalist Falcon Bitch—pulled up in their “private jet” (aka a trusty Econoline van), and left like rockstars.
We put our CMO to work alongside our Cocoa Beach crew lugging the famous yellow couch to the porch, and after a perfect beach afternoon, and some grub next door from Surfinista, we settled in for one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it nights that end up living in your head forever. Between the band’s easy chemistry (they can finish each other’s sentences) and Falcon’s filmmaker-sharp stage presence, the whole thing felt like lightning in a bottle.
Every Sonny’s Porch show is our favorite but this one’s going to be a night to remember for a long, long time. Watch and see why.
