In 2010 we started making products to protect our friends and families from the sun. Since then, we’ve grown a bit, but we haven’t changed. Our Cocoa Beach office is an old Florida beach house off A1A. Our Moonlight Beach office is in the groovy little town of Encinitas, California, just a block away from the sand. And like any good beach day, everyone’s welcomed to the bonfire. We care about our people and making more meaningful connections outside. We make products the way we like them, and we hope you like them too.
We pulled together some essentials, need-to-know sun care basics and put them all in one spot.
Protect The Groms is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working with schools and outdoor-focused organizations to provide shade structures, sun safety education, and sunscreen to kids. Our mission is to fight skin cancer—and stoke out a few groms along the way.
There is still a lot of conversation and debate around the impact of sunscreen on oceans and waterways. As you may know, Hawaii State Legislature approved Bill 2571, which bans the sale of (non-prescription) sunscreens containing Oxybenzone and Octinoxate as of January 1, 2021. This legislation is a big change in the industry, so we want to share more details and information on this important topic with you.
It's simple. We care about the planet. We care about the animals. We care about our families. So, we continue to look for ways to make our products without stuff that could hurt any of them.
