We've Got Answers

So, what makes the Kids sunscreen formula special and how’s it different from the other stuff you guys make?

Our Kids sunscreen line is made with our most active kids in mind. It’s got a clear, water-resistant formula that’s made to apply easily (and absorb quickly) to both wet and dry skin. So kids can back to doing what they do best. Just make sure to let sunscreen absorb completely (about 15 min) before heading back out into the water/sun.

Can Kids sunscreen be applied directly to their faces?

Our Kids Clear Lotion and Face Stick can be applied directly to the face, but when using the Spray, just make sure to apply it to hands first before putting on the face.

About how old should they be to start using Kids sunscreen?

They can start graduating from Baby products to KIDS sunscreen around age 5.

At What Age Should a Child Start Wearing Sunscreen?

Babies under six months shouldn’t wear sunscreen. Instead, keep them in the shade and dress them in protective clothing. Once your child turns six months old, it’s safe to start using sunscreen made for babies or kids. Choose a gentle, broad-spectrum option with SPF 30 or higher that’s free from fragrances and other harsh ingredients.

Should Children Wear Sunscreen Every Day?

Yes. Kids should wear sunscreen any time they’re outside, even on cloudy days. UV rays can still cause damage, even when the sun isn’t shining. Daily use of sunscreen helps prevent painful sunburns and long-term skin damage. Focus on exposed areas like the face, arms, and neck, and reapply every two hours when outdoors.

Is 30 or 50 SPF Good for Kids?

SPF 30 and SPF 50 both offer strong protection, but SPF 50 is usually the better choice for kids, especially during long outdoor activities. It blocks slightly more UVB rays than SPF 30 and provides a better buffer for sensitive skin. Just make sure to reapply often, especially after swimming or sweating.
