Navigating tropical surf trips in 2025 isn’t the easiest of affairs. It turns out that surfers really are everywhere. The search for tropical isolation is eternal.
Enter Latitude Zero, nestled in a location we can’t name, but it’s on the Ring of Fire and, yep, you guessed it, bang on the Equator. Assembling our belle équipe of talent from Australia, Hawaii, and California, we took flight and set sail for LZ. Our eight days in paradise all merged into one. A veritable voyage through paradise. Sun-drenched, palm-kissed islands provided the backdrop to a variety of waves. Beachies. Slabs. Rights. Lefts. A plethora of waves kept the next generation in the water from sunrise to sunset.
Our days were spent on the boat. Napping. Laughing. Waiting. Rushing. Fishing. Dropping phones overboard. Oasis. Worrying about crocodiles. Sheltering from squalls. Sheltering from the sun.
Our eight days drew quickly to a close, but Club Tropicana will stay with us for much, much longer—an ode to youth in the tropics.
