In 2019 we came out with a limited-edition collectible vinyl series of some of our friends, who’ve been so kind to our little brand over the years. The crazy talented ones, whose professional and personal lifestyles have inspired us and our entire community to be better. To celebrate our 10-year anniversary and latest addition to the family, we’re coming out with a limited-edition collectible vinyl of 4-time world champion Carissa Moore.
We could not be prouder of Carissa for all she’s accomplished both in and out of the water. Not only is Carissa a 4-time world champion but she also started the Moore Aloha Charitable Foundation to empower young women to become strong, confident and compassionate leaders.
Carissa was born and raised on the south shore of Oahu, a stone’s throw from the infamous statue of Duke Kahanamoku in Waikiki. Duke was a Native Hawaiian Olympic swimmer who won a total of five medals and popularized the sport of surfing globally. It was always Duke’s vision to share surfing with the world and bring surfing to Olympics. We’re so excited to see Carissa bring Duke’s dream to life in being the first Hawaiian surfer soon to compete in the inaugural Olympic surfing games this July in Tokyo, Japan.
Get your FREE limited-edition Carissa Moore vinyl with any purchase of $30 or more of Sun Bum products. While supplies last at local surf shops. See Participating Shops.
We caught up with long-time Sun Bum Ambassador, Rasmus King, at his home in rural Byron Bay. The picturesque cottage was stuffed with incredible records, classic surfboards, instruments, and vintage cars which all seem to have a special place in his life.
