"Let me start by saying I like a lighter product that allows my curls to be what they are, and that’s what this curl cream does. It makes a big impact on the look and texture of my curls, but it doesn’t “tame” or “control” them, it highlights them. I am a biracial black girl and have always had trouble finding products that work for my 3c curls. Luckily, I had a friend who worked for sunbum a few years back and she gave me a sample of this for free. Otherwise, I never would have tried it! This curl cream is EVERYTHING. It is the only styling product I use now, which saves me a ton of money on hair care! And I have truly reached the coveted wash-and-go status, where I just run it through my hair straight out of the shower, and I have soft, beautiful curls for days, with minimal frizz (but full disclosure: I do embrace frizz as a natural characteristic of curly hair). If I’m getting ready for a really special occasion, I might go the extra step and twirl my ringlets around my fingers as I apply the curl cream, just to give them a little more uniformity, but that’s it! I don’t use dry shampoo, so I also love that I can wet my hair and reapply this 2-3 times between washes without any product buildup forming on my scalp. I know all curls are unique and no one product works for everyone, but if your search feels as endless as mine did, and it seems like you always have to choose between products that weigh your hair down and ones that do virtually nothing to define or protect your curls, I can tell you this is worth a try. I hope it works as well for you as it does for me!"
