The ocean gives us everything.

It’s on us to give back when we can.

As part of our ongoing mission to protect our community from the sun without harming animals or the environment, we’ve recently partnered with parent company SC Johnson and Plastic Bank, an organization that supports the local economy and recycling ecosystems in coastal countries around the world.

What's RCP?

Recovered Coastal Plastic* is plastic waste collected on land within 31 miles of the ocean - before it reaches waterways or landfills. Plastic Bank supports local communities and helps stop this waste at the source by building traceable, verified recycling systems in highly impacted coastal communities like Indonesia, the Philippines, and Brazil. Local collectors are paid to gather plastic, which is then recycled and repurposed, helping keep coastlines cleaner while supporting local economies.

We’re transitioning many of our hair care bottles to Recovered Coastal Plastic*. It’s just the start of another positive step in creating a healthier ocean for future generations to enjoy.

We’re excited to keep sharing our RCP journey with you as the program expands in the coming years. See below for more details.

* Recovered Coastal Plastic includes bottles. Excludes shrink sleeve & cap.

Is Recovered Coastal Plastic the same as Post Consumer Recycled Plastic?

Recovered Coastal Plastic is a specific type of recycled plastic. It’s all about where it’s collected and the economic impact to local communities.
